RUBIS celebrated the work of five charities as part of their recently concluded Win With RUBIS, You Deserve It! fuel promotion.
There were five grand prize winners. A component of each grand prize was a $500 donation to a registered charity. The winners selected their charity and the donations took place during December.
Grand prize winner Sharmin McKenzie chose Hill View Home for the Aged as her charity. Fitzroy Pascal decided to support Top Hill Home for the Aged. Vaughn Joseph chose Bel Air Home for Children and Adolescents. The School for the Deaf was the choice for John Benjamin and Selma Alexander supported the Grenada Red Cross Society.
Charles Archer, RUBIS Country Representative, explained that the Christmas season was one of giving and reaching out to persons and institutions that are in dire need. He said, “Our winners were able to enjoy their prizes while giving to an organisation in need. I am delighted to be affiliated with a company that saw it fit not only to have promotions to reward customers but to also find creative ways to provide support to charities to help cushion their needs during this difficult pandemic period.”
