TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF “FUEL + Prizes You’ll Love With RUBIS” PROMOTION
The following are the terms and conditions of “Fuel + Prizes You’ll Love With Rubis” promotion, hereinafter “The Promotion”, operated by RUBIS GUYANA INC. (“Rubis”).
Competition rules can be found at participating RUBIS Service Stations and on the “Fuel + Prizes You’ll Love With RUBIS” promotion website at rubis.world. A copy of these Official Rules will be provided to any person who requests a copy, from the offices of Rubis Guyana Inc, located at Ramsburg, Providence, East Bank Demerara, Guyana.
DURATION OF PROMOTION: “The Promotion” commences Wednesday, 11th September 2024 through to Sunday, 17th November 2024.
AGREEMENT: By entering “The Promotion”, each entrant acknowledges and agrees:
that he/she has read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions,
that he/she will abide by the decisions of RUBIS which are final and binding, and,
that he/she will allow RUBIS to use his/her name, likeness and/or voice in any media whatsoever including digital, press, print, radio and television, for the purpose of advertising, trade or promotion without compensation.
ELIGIBILITY: Entry into “The Promotion” is open only to persons who are legal residents of Guyana (18 years of age or older) at time of entry EXCEPT employees (full, part time, temporary, etc.) of Rubis West Indies Limited. and its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, public relations, direct marketing and promotion agencies, retailers, managers and staff (full, part time, temporary, etc.) of RUBIS Service Stations, and/or any entity related to the development, promotion or supervision of “The Promotion” AND their immediate households.
PRIZES: All taxes including any incidental or other expenses associated with the prizes herein to be awarded, together with all governmental reporting and payment requirements are the sole responsibility of the winner.
The prizes for the competition are as follow:
Grand prizes: There are two (2) grand prizes. The grand prizes are:
- $200,000 Ultra Tec Fuel + $800,000 Cash
- $200,000 Ultra Tec Fuel + $800,000 Electronics Package
Weekly Prizes: There will be six (6) weeks of weekly draws commencing 30th September 2024 where we will draw one (1) each of:
$10,000 Ultra Tec Fuel + $250,000 Cash
$10,000 Ultra Tec Fuel + Dinner for 2 at Froggy’s
$10,000 Ultra Tec Fuel + Rice Cooker
$10,000 Ultra Tec Fuel + ATV Tour for 2
September 30th, 2024: $20,000 Ultra Tec Fuel + Dinner for 4 at Fusion
October 7th, 2024: $20,000 Ultra Tec Fuel + $100,000 at Sassy Styles or Mr. Man
October 14th, 2024: $20,000 Ultra Tec Fuel + $100,000 at Topaz Jewellery
October 21st, 2024: $20,000 Ultra Tec Fuel + Power Washer
October 28th, 2024: $20,000 Ultra Tec Fuel + PlayStation 5
November 4th, 2024: $20,000 Ultra Tec Fuel + Savannah Tour for up to 20 persons
RULES OF “THE PROMOTION”: “The Promotion” is limited to the geographic area of Guyana and its residents and, is subject to all applicable local laws and regulations. It is limited only to purchases made at participating RUBIS Service Stations clearly identified with banners and advertising material related to this Promotion. RUBIS reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel “The Promotion” and, any or all, of the prizes at its sole discretion at any time, without prior notice, without any liability whatsoever to any entrant. If RUBIS modifies, suspends or cancels “The Promotion” and, any or all of the prizes, it will publish via print media that it has done so.
To enter “The Promotion”. For each purchase of $4,500 in Ultra Tec fuel or Total Lubricants at any of the participating RUBIS Service Stations in Guyana, the purchaser will receive one digital entry card.
Digital Entry Card: The entry card will have a unique code. Customers must go online to rubis.world to register and enter their unique code. Entrants must also correctly answer a skill-testing question. All valid entry cards must be submitted by 11:59pm on November 17th 2024. Special conditions and restrictions apply.
All prize draws will be electronically generated each week between 30th September and 18th November, 2024. This will include all weekly prizes and grand prize draws.
Weekly Prizes: There will be 30 weekly prizes during “The Promotion”. As far as is reasonably possible weekly prizes will be drawn between 2nd October, and 6th November 2024.
Grand Prize: The two (2) grand prizes will be drawn on Monday, November 18th 2024. Winners will be announced in the print media and on the Rubis Caribbean’s social media platforms at a later date. The grand prize winners will be notified according to the name, telephone number and address entered online.
This promotion does not apply to other RUBIS products and services. The participating RUBIS Service Stations will be clearly identified, with point-of-sale material related to this promotion. Customers may participate as many times as they wish.
All digital entry cards are subject to verification by RUBIS who reserves the sole right to determine the validity and eligibility of entries and whose decisions with respect to the validity and eligibility of entries will be final and binding. Any digital entry card that is deemed to be fraudulent will be declared null and void.
If an entrant’s correctly entered digital entry card is selected by RUBIS, in any draw, that entrant will be required to produce acceptable photo identification (driver’s license, passport or Guyana national registration card) that confirms the identity of the entrant to RUBIS.
REDEMPTION OF PRIZES: Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or any other item. Winners are solely responsible for all expenses related to the delivery of prizes. RUBIS will try to contact each selected winner by telephone once per day for a total of seven (7) days commencing on the day that the winner is chosen. In the event of a winner’s non-compliance with these terms and conditions (determined at the sole discretion of RUBIS) or if the winner is not contactable for any reason for a period of 7 (seven) days after the drawing for the prize, the prize will be forfeited by the winner and RUBIS may either retain the prize for its own benefit or dispose of it as it sees fit without any liability to the winner. In the event a winner does not wish to accept the prize, he/she may not assign the prize to another individual. Prizes that are not claimed in accordance with these terms and conditions will become the property of RUBIS. Prizes are to be collected by the winner or a person duly authorised by the winner at Rubis Guyana Inc, Ramsburg, Providence, East Bank Demerara, Guyana no later than Friday, 29th November 2024. The person collecting the prize must provide suitable photo identification at the time of collection of the prize. Prizes that are not collected before end of day on Friday, 29th November 2024 will become the sole property of RUBIS.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Persons will be able to submit any queries relating to “The Promotion” by mail to ‘Fuel + Prizes You’ll Love With RUBIS Promotion’, Rubis Guyana Inc, Ramsburg, Providence, East Bank Demerara, Guyana.
RELEASE: RUBIS, its advertising, public relations, promotions and direct marketing agencies, its lawyers and other entities related to this promotion are not responsible for manufacturing defects that could appear on the prizes, as well as any accidents, claims, damages, losses or injuries of any kind that may occur while using and enjoying the prizes. RUBIS’ responsibility is limited to awarding the offered prizes to the selected entrants that comply with these rules. At the signing of the release, the grand prize winners must also agree to the use of their names, address, photograph and likeness for advertising and/or promotional purposes in any advertising medium without additional compensation. All other prize winners’ names will be announced in the press.
EXCLUSIONS: RUBIS accepts no responsibility for incorrect or incomplete information about “The Promotion”.
