Market Hill RUBIS reopens in Barbados

An official reopening ceremony on November 28, 2023 marked the rebirth of Market Hill RUBIS Service Station, Barbados. The day began with the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly rebuilt station. Toni Moore, Member of Parliament for St. George North joined CEO of RUBIS – Mauricio Nicholls, Alix James – Director, KLC Enterprises – Retailer of Market Hill RUBIS, and specially invited guests and staff for the event. As part of the entertainment, the choir of Cuthbert Moore Primary School performed a medley of popular Bajan folk tunes, ending with an energetic rendition of Red Plastic Bag’s (RPB) “Something’s Happening”. Long-standing Market Hill RUBIS customer Colin Grant enjoyed having his vehicle be the first one fuelled after the opening. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a selection of Bajan food and drink as a nod to Barbados’ 57th anniversary of Independence.

After the official opening ceremony, the afternoon signaled the start of the Grand Launch and Customer Appreciation Day event. Customers who fuelled up with $50 or more in Ultra Tec fuel got a chance to spin the RUBIS wheel for some amazing prizes, including a 50″ Samsung TV from Massy Stores, Farmer’s Choice hams, $300 voucher from Serenity Spa at The Crane, Samsung tablet, $500 RUBIS gift cards, $250 Massy Stores voucher, a RUBIS gift basket and much more. Massy Card cardholders enjoyed an extra bonus with double points all day.
