The vision to incorporate “smart” technology into the delivery of education for students of the Providence Primary School, Guyana, received a recent boost when the school received a new 32-inch smart television set donated by Team RUBIS.
Noting that the technology would be particularly helpful to Grade 6 pupils, Assistant Mistress Grade 6 teacher, Nelissa Thomas, thanked RUBIS for supporting the school’s vision.
“On behalf of Providence Primary School, I would like to thank your company for this kind donation of a 32” smart television. We are extremely thankful and look forward to your continued support. This kind gesture will be instrumental in enhancing the delivery of concepts to pupils in Grade 6. Furthermore, this new equipment will help to accomplish our quest of having a child-friendly, smart classroom that will foster opportunities for teaching and learning by integrating technology into the learning process,” Ms. Thomas said.
Joylyn Johnson, Retail Accounts Executive of RUBIS Guyana Inc. said the company was delighted to be a part of making a tangible contribution to the furtherance of education in Guyana.
“Over time, we have proven to be a willing partner in enriching the delivery of education. The position of the company supporting education is not only manifested in Guyana but throughout the Eastern Caribbean, where we have a presence.
