RUBIS recently marked their fifth year supporting Breast Cancer Awareness month in Dominica.
With family and friends affected by the disease, Team Rubis members leant support to the Dominica Cancer Society’s (DCS) “Drive for Cancer Care” efforts with a donation of EC$4075. During his remarks at the event, Nicholson Dodds, Country Representative, RUBIS Dominica stated, “With COVID-19 the annual walk was not possible. However, each October we are all reminded to take care of ourselves and to have our annual checks done. It is our hope that this contribution will go a long way in your efforts to bring awareness to persons of the ills of cancer, the benefits of early detection and ultimately saving someone’s life.” This donation to the DCS assists in their mission to support persons with cancer as well as educate on the importance of early detection. It forms part of a regional commitment that the energy company has made to support the communities in which they operate.
