RUBIS West Indies Limited is collaborating with the Bureau of Public Health to fight the rapid spread of COVID-19 locally and ensure quality protection in the healthcare system.
During a recent presentation, the energy company presented Minouch Bromet, Director of BOG (Bureau of Public Health) with a supply of personal protective equipment (PPE). Euan Irving, Sales Manager, Rubis, presented the items on behalf of the company. The PPE included 2000 KN95 masks, 2000 surgical masks and 2000 surgical gloves.
In acknowledging the donation, Ms. Bromet said, “We are very grateful and pleased with this gift of which the timing could not be better.” She explained, “Suriname has had an explosive growth in positive COVID-19 infections in recent times.” During the event, the formal transfer document was also signed.
Rubis has invested internally to further enhance the already stringent sanitization processes for staff within their Putcherweg terminal.
