TeamRUBIS recently made a donation of 27 food hampers to the Grenada Association of Retired Persons (GARP). Accepting on behalf of GARP, President Nicholas Snagg expressed gratitude to RUBIS for the generous donation of food hampers valued at $4,000. He said. “This collaboration will allow for 27 of our most vulnerable older persons to be reached during the holiday season so that everyone can share in the holiday cheer. This is not the first time that RUBIS has contributed to our association and I look forward to a further deepening of the partnership.”
RUBIS Country Representative Charles Archer, noted that the company was extremely pleased to provide assistance to the association’s outreach efforts at this time. He explained, “During this period when the Covid-19 virus has brought so much hardship to elderly and retired persons who are finding it difficult to meet their needs, we are pleased to be involved with a food drive which will ensure that persons have a meal on their table at an important time like this. Several members of TeamRUBIS gave of their time to pack the hamper bags.” Mr Archer shared the disappointment they felt at not being able to go into the communities like they did in previous years to do the distribution due to physical distancing restrictions.
In operation since 2010, GARP is a non-profit organisation which provides support for elderly Grenadians and the needy. In 2020, RUBIS provided a similar donation to assist with their food hamper drive for vulnerable members.
