Rubis Guyana Inc continued with their assistance in the fight against COVID-19 with a donation of 2000 surgical gloves to the Ministry of Public Health.
The provision of essential personal protective equipment (PPE) is part of a regional effort that RUBIS has undertaken in the Eastern Caribbean to ensure the countries in which they operate have continued supplies of these critical items. Joylyn Johnson, Retail Account Executive, Rubis Guyana Inc made the presentation to Director of Materials and Management Unit in the Ministry of Public Health, Cecil Jacques at the Vlissengen Road Rubis Service Station.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Public Health, Collette Adams acknowledged the contribution, stating that the Ministry was grateful for the confidence that Rubis has reposed in the efforts to manage the pandemic.
Rubis recently made donations to both the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation and the Civil Defense Commission to augment the costs associated with assisting frontline workers and vulnerable families in the community.
