The boys of St. John Bosco Orphanage, Plaisance, Guyana, shared in the joys of the Holiday season with gifts from Team RUBIS. This gesture brought smiles of delight to the faces of the boys, ranging in age from 4 to 16 years, as every child at the Home received a toy.
Joylyn Johnson, RUBIS Retail Accounts Executive noted that giving is central to the spirit of the yuletide season and TeamRUBIS was proud to make the donation. She said sharing the Christmas experience with the boys of St John Bosco Orphanage was extra special. “While many children are fortunate to have the luxury of toys at Christmas, there are scores of others who are deprived of this joyous childhood experience, because of their unfortunate circumstances. RUBIS was pleased to bring some seasonal cheer to these deserving boys at St John Bosco Orphanage, by ensuring that every resident at the Home received a gift for the holidays.” Johnson said. The RUBIS office staff at Ramsburg Terminal even spent their lunch time wrapping the gifts, wanting to give that personal touch to the donation, valued at over US$1,200.
Sister Elizabeth Small, expressed thanks on behalf of the boys, saying, “We thank you for your generous donation of Christmas gifts and really appreciate the time and care you took in selecting age-appropriate presents and wrapping them so nicely. It’s your thoughtfulness and love that makes this Christmas extra special for the boys. We take this opportunity to wish you and all the staff of RUBIS Guyana a wonderful and joyous Christmas.”
