RUBIS, a leading fuel distributor in the Caribbean continues to be innovative as it launched a new fuel, Ultra Tec Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel (Ultra Tec ULSD) at a press conference at the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort. The Honourable Dr. Winston Garraway, Minister of State, Ministry of Youth Sports and Religious Affairs delivered the feature address while Mauricio Nicholls, CEO RUBIS Caribbean shared the company’s vision and its mission to continue to bring advanced petroleum solutions to the people of the region. The launch was attended by Government officials, business partners, customers Retailers and Rubis employees.
ULTRA TEC Ultra Low Sulphur Diesel is a cleaner burning fuel that has been refined so that its sulphur content is significantly lower than regular diesel. Regular diesel has a maximum sulphur content of 5000ppm (parts per million), whilst ULSD has a content of just 15ppm, so low it’s called Ultra Low. It is being introduced as a result of increased environmental awareness worldwide. Reduced sulphur dioxide emissions, reduction in black smoke and exhaust fumes and significantly improved air quality are some of the eco-friendly benefits of ULSD, for a cleaner Grenada. Diesel engine users will also feel the benefits from using Ultra Tec, an advanced fuel additive exclusive to RUBIS. Ultra Tec ULSD has unique cleaning agents which will help prevent build up and remove harmful deposits on an engine’s fuel injectors, combustion chambers and valves. It is also formulated with demulsifiers to promote water separation and provide excellent corrosion control, preventing filter blockage. In short, consistent use of Ultra Tec ULSD will result in greater fuel and engine efficiency, which maximizes the performance of a vehicle and saves the consumer money. Ultra Tec ULSD is suitable for all diesel engines and is available at all Rubis Service Stations in Grenada.
