RUBIS St Lucia lends support to online learning

RUBIS continued its support of online learning for students in St Lucia by partnering with Rise St Lucia to donate 25 tablets and backpacks to assist underprivileged students for whom virtual learning is a major challenge.

During the presentation, Chriselda Norbal, Accounts Executive, RUBIS reinforced the company’s commitment to support the most vulnerable in the society, explaining, “The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed a critical need for assistance to students with online learning. We were pleased to work with Rise St. Lucia to identify a number of students who were in need and make a donation of tablets worth EC$5,500 to assist.”

RISE St Lucia is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation founded in 2007 which is dedicated to the healthy development of people in the community, especially the youth.

This is the latest in a series of donations to assist with mitigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, including donations of laptops and tablets to the Ministry of Education and the Do Something Different back to school programme and PPE to the Ministry of Health.
