Team Rubis congratulates 2023 King of the Grill monarchs

Grill chefs and enthusiasts from across Grenada joined Team RUBIS in congratulating the dynamic duo of Tamara Afflick and Coby Frank, first-time entrants who lifted the coveted title of “King of the Grill” for 2023 when the annual competition was held amid the beautiful backdrop of Quarantine Park.

Afflick and Frank dominated both the meat and seafood categories on a day when Team RUBIS ensured there were no losers by providing gift packs for each competing team and advertising sponsorship of $7,500 with event organizers, the Grenada Broadcasting Network.

The champions’ closest rivals in the culinary showcase were Rawle and Elizabeth Telesford in second position, while Dianne and Ivan Alexis came third.

Judged by skilled chefs and food lovers, this 11th edition of King of the Grill was thoroughly enjoyed by families and foodies who witnessed and savoured the skill, versatility, and creativity of Grenada’s best backyard grill chefs. RUBIS congratulated all competitors who came together to thrill judges and patrons with their mouthwatering culinary creations.

Country Manager Charles Archer said RUBIS was pleased to work once again with the Grenada Broadcasting Network to ensure the success of the King of the Grill Competition. Archer said the contest showcased the talents and skills of Grenada’s home-grown chefs and provided a much-needed opportunity for the community to enjoy the culinary challenge in a safe environment.

Janelle St. Bernard-McDonald, Chief Operations Officer (Ag.) of Grenada Broadcasting Network, expressed appreciation to RUBIS for its unwavering support.
