Team RUBIS & partners deliver smiles in St. Lucia at Christmas

St. Lucia shone brightly with smiles of joy this festive season as TeamRUBIS again partnered with several charitable organisations to donate food hampers and much needed Christmas supplies to the less fortunate.

RUBIS partnered with three charities on the initiative, including Feed the Poor Ministry, Trail Finders Off-Road 4×4 Club and Rise St. Lucia. The three charities joined RUBIS to deliver over $12,500 in grocery hampers to deserving families and individuals across the island in time for Christmas Day.

Chriselda Norbal, RUBIS Account Executive, said the team looked forward to the opportunity to be a force for good at Christmas, working with caring community-based charitable organisations. “Christmas is a special time of year that brings out in us the best qualities of love, joy, peace and goodwill, which RUBIS and its partners seek to embody on a year-round basis. This year we are pleased to welcome Feed the Poor Ministries and Trail Finders and to extend our work with Rise St. Lucia for a second year. TeamRUBIS thanks you for your dedication and commitment to serving our communities at this special time.”

Chairman of Rise St. Lucia, Dr. Venus Cherry said, “It is really refreshing to have an organisation here in St. Lucia, like RUBIS, that cares about St. Lucians and is always ready and willing to give back. They have partnered with us before for the tablet donation to students and the book drive, where gas was provided to travel the country to help the less fortunate.”

Gasper Henry, CEO of Feed the Poor Ministry, noted, “When I see the word RUBIS, to me it means Reliable, Understanding, Blessed, Intelligent, and Sweet and I must say that the staff members are filled with the power of love.” Henry also credited RUBIS for committing to working with Feed the Poor Ministry throughout the year, and not just at Christmas. “I know that the smiles of many persons will beam out as a result of this gesture.”

President of the Trail Finders Off-Road 4×4 Club, Troy Philiemon said, “We really appreciate partnering with RUBIS to reach out to the needy persons in the community.”

The donation included a barrel of groceries each for Rise St Lucia and Feed the Poor Ministry as well as 10 hampers for the Trail Finders Off-Road 4×4 Club to distribute to families in the community.
