RUBIS Donates $3,000 to Support RISE St. Lucia’s Back-to-School Program

The new school year began on a high note for several deserving students, whose back-to-school supply challenges were alleviated by RISE St. Lucia following a donation of XCD 3,000 from Team RUBIS.

RISE St. Lucia accepted the funds for its annual back-to-school program, which provided uniforms, shoes, books, backpacks and stationery to children from disadvantaged families, to ensure they began the school year with confidence and the tools to succeed.

Speaking on behalf of RUBIS St. Lucia, Tamika Celestin said the partnership with RISE demonstrated RUBIS’ ongoing support for education and community upliftment.

“At RUBIS, we believe that investing in our children’s education is an investment in the future of St Lucia. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn and thrive, regardless of socio-economic background. We are proud to partner with RISE St. Lucia, an organisation that does incredible work on the ground, to ensure that these students begin the school year on an equal footing, equipped and ready to learn.”

Dr. Venus Cherry, Chairman of RISE St. Lucia, expressed his gratitude stating: “In a time when many companies are citing budgetary constraints, Rubis Caribbean continues to stand tall in its unwavering commitment to uplifting our communities. Thank you very much for caring about our people and country.”

This donation is part of RUBIS’ ongoing corporate social responsibility commitment to education, empowering communities and supporting the next generation across the region.
