Vital work by Scrub Life Cares to address reproductive health disparities affecting young women and girls across Antigua has been bolstered by a donation of USD 1000 in hygiene and self-care products from Team RUBIS.
Scrub Life Cares is a registered nonprofit organisation dedicated to improving health outcomes and expanding equitable access for women, girls, and youth across Antigua and Barbuda. The charitable organisation was founded to address menstrual equity, period poverty, and broader reproductive health disparities; issues that directly affect educational performance, social well-being, and long-term health outcomes.
Founder & CEO of Scrub Life Cares, Tanya Ambrose, credited RUBIS for standing with them in support of women, girls and families, noting the organisation was deeply grateful for the generous donation.
“This contribution means so much to our organisation because it directly supports our ongoing efforts to advance menstrual equity, expand access to essential health resources, and provide meaningful reproductive, maternal, child, and community health education. Partnerships like this remind us that lasting community impact is possible when businesses and community organisations work together with purpose, and we are grateful to RUBIS for helping us move closer to a more informed, supported, and period-friendly Antigua and Barbuda.”
RUBIS Accounts Executive, J’nai Spencer, said it was an honour topartner with Scrub Life Cares and support the incredible work they are doing across Antigua and Barbuda.
“At the heart of strong communities is access – access to health, education, and dignity. Scrub Life Cares is doing critical work to ensure that women and girls are not left behind due to period poverty or limited reproductive health resources. We are proud to support their mission and contribute to building a more inclusive and equitable future for all,” Spencer said.
