Five graduates of the Irving Wilson School received support from Team RUBIS as they embark on the next chapter of their educational journeys, receiving digital tablets and sensory items to support their continued learning and development.
The students were celebrated during their recent graduation ceremony, which highlighted their individual achievements, progress, and perseverance throughout their educational journeys.
RUBIS Brand Marketing Specialist, Mellissa Broomes, said the company was proud to support the inspirational students.
“We believe in supporting communities where every individual is valued and given the opportunity to thrive. We are proud to support the 2026 graduating class of the Irving Wilson School as they celebrate this important milestone and their remarkable achievements,” Broomes said.
Principal of the Irving Wilson School, Armed Alleyne, thanked RUBIS for its contribution to the graduating class and for supporting inclusion.
Mrs. Alleyne stated: “Inclusion is the deliberate practice of creating environments where each individual feels welcome, respected, supported and valued as a full participant. It removes barriers and fosters a genuine sense of belonging. Ultimately, inclusion ensures that individuals are actively participating in a community rather than just receiving isolated care.”
The Irving Wilson School is a special needs school in Barbados serving children and young people with visual and hearing impairments, autism, and other developmental needs. The school provides specialised education and support services designed to help students develop academically, socially, and independently.
