A newly renovated kitchen for scores of deserving children who rely on Stichting Betheljada for residential care and meals is now within reach thanks to a RUBIS donation.
Team RUBIS Suriname proudly presented USD $2,000 to Stichting Betheljada on 8 July, reaffirming its commitment to making a positive impact within the communities it serves.
During the presentation and special visit to Stichting Betheljada, Kavita Mohan, Director of the foundation, explained that the donation will contribute to the renovation of the foundation’s kitchen, one of its most important ongoing projects.
Expressing her sincere gratitude, Ms. Mohan said:
“The kitchen is the heart of our facility. It is where we prepare fresh meals every day for our children, making it an essential part of the care we provide. We are truly grateful to RUBIS for supporting this important project.”
The foundation currently provides residential care for approximately 63 children and also operates a daily care programme for children who do not reside at the facility but receive care and support during the day.
During the visit, the RUBIS team had the opportunity to meet several of the children and learn more about the important work carried out by the foundation.

The visit served as a reminder of the vital role organizations such as Stichting Betheljada play in providing care, dignity, and opportunities to some of the most vulnerable members of our community.
