Team RUBIS donates to GRPA for free cancer screening this October

This October, the Guyana Responsible Parenthood Association (GRPA), with support from Team RUBIS, will reach out to communities across Guyana to provide free cancer screening services.

To help launch the program, RUBIS Guyana Inc. recently donated approximately US$2,380 to GRPA’s 50th Anniversary Cancer Screening Fund.

The targeted initiative will offer pap smears, visual Inspection with acetic acid (VIA), breast exams for women, and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests for men. Screenings will be conducted at GRPA’s licensed clinic and through outreach activities in underserved communities nationwide.

“RUBIS Guyana Inc. is proud to support the Guyana Responsible Parenthood Association (GRPA) through a donation to its 50th Anniversary Cancer Screening Fund, reaffirming our commitment to community health and wellness,” said Natasha Brown, RUBIS Sales & Marketing Coordinator.

Kobe Smith, (GRPA) Executive Director, said it was a life-saving partnership.

“We are deeply grateful to RUBIS for their generous contribution to our Cancer Screening Fund. This support will help expand access to vital screening services, allowing more individuals to benefit from early detection and timely care. Partnerships like these strengthen our mission to save lives and promote better health for all.”
