The resource capabilities of the Guyana National Library’s Internet Library Project have been upgraded with a donation of two desktop computer packages from RUBIS, valued at GYD $800,000/ USD $3,800.
These internet libraries serve as modern learning hubs equipped with computers, reliable internet access and digital literacy programs. The new equipment provides students, job seekers and community members with expanded access to online learning resources and e-government services.
Natasha Brown, RUBIS Sales & Marketing Coordinator, said the donation was made as part of RUBIS’ ongoing commitment to supporting education and community development.
“RUBIS Guyana Inc. is proud to donate these computer packages to the National Library. It is our privilege to contribute to a space that promotes growth, learning and opportunity for all,” Brown stated.
Emiley King, Chief Librarian, The National Library,extended sincere appreciation to RUBIS for the generous donation.
