MESSENGER
Rubis West Indies Limited (RWIL), a company specializing in the marketing of petroleum products, is seeking to secure the services of an independent Messenger.
The focus of this service is to safely transport various items to and from different locations on behalf of RWIL. The individual must operate efficiently to execute the scheduled pick-ups and deliveries for the day as required. The contractor must always operate in a safe, professional manner as it reflects the image of the Company.
Scope of Work:
Under the direction of the Terminal Manager, the Contractor is expected to carry out the following tasks:
- Collect drafts and documents from the banks and deliver to the recipients, including but not limited to vendors, statutory agencies (NIS, Customs Brokers, Inland Revenue, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Deliver utility bill payments as needed.
- Clear the mailbox from the General Post Office as is needed and deliver it to the Rubis Terminal in Arnos Vale. Handle packages and documents carefully, especially those that are marked fragile, delicate or perishable.
- Load vehicle, ensuring goods are packed and taking precautions with hazardous goods.
- Collect documents as needed from the Rubis Terminal and deliver to the respective business locations.
- Collect NIS and Inland Revenue cheques as directed from time to time.
- File and collect corporate documents and have these notarized/apostilled at the Land Registry, Corporate Affairs, Registration Office or Ministry of Foreign Affairs upon request, as required.
- File documentation for work permits at the Immigration Department as directed.
- Any other related services that may be needed from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Good communication skills
- Be able to adjust to requests at short notice
- Be in possession of a suitable vehicle which is maintained regularly and in good working order
- Maintain valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- Be able to provide evidence of vehicle insurance and registration
