Calibishie students benefit as RUBIS continues community outreach in anniversary year

The children of the Calibishie Baptist Pre-School in Dominica are the latest beneficiaries as RUBIS continues to celebrate 15 years of operations in the Eastern Caribbean through initiatives that support and uplift communities across the region.

Students at the school will now have access to a 55-inch television to help to enrich their classes, while the school also benefited from essential upgrades to its washroom facilities.

School Principal, Nathalie Peter, expressed sincere appreciation for the contribution, noting that the “R” in RUBIS stands for being “rich in love and giving.” She shared her gratitude for the donation and emphasised that the support will go a long way in improving the children’s experience and well-being.

RUBIS Accounts Executive, Vanalda Henry-Vidal, said RUBISwashonoured to support institutions that make a positive impact in youth development and education. “This initiative is especially meaningful given the school’s close connection to the Calibishie community, where RUBIS proudly operates.”

For the past 43 years, Calibishie Baptist Pre-School has remained committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and enriching educational environment for the children of its community. Located in one of Dominica’s more remote villages, Calibishie is also home to the Calibishie RUBIS Service Station. The educational institution serves not only families within the village, but also neighbouring communities, including families who may face financial challenges in meeting tuition costs.
