RUBIS Invests in Youth Development Through Support of St. Mark’s Festival Spelling Bee

The St. Mark Organisation for Development Inc. (SMOD) proudly celebrated Grenada’s youth, culture and heritage at the recent 2026 St. Mark’s Festival, featuring activities including a Spelling Bee competition, won by A’Diah Cox-Calliste, who was rewarded with a laptop, donated by Team RUBIS.

Other outstanding Spelling Bee competitors included Akadon Joseph, who secured second place and received a tablet, and Dennisha Fletcher, who captured third place and was awarded a Starter Savings Account.

Held under the theme “35 Years of Sports, Culture and Community Connections”, the festival marked the organisation’s 35th anniversary of service to Grenadian communities. Showcasing the very best of St. Mark, it celebrated cultural expression, sports development, youth engagement, heritage activities, and community empowerment.

SMOD President, Royden Beharry, thanked RUBIS Grenada for its support, stating, “This meaningful contribution is helping us create opportunities that inspire learning, build confidence, and encourage academic excellence among the young people of St. Mark. Partnerships like these continue to make a positive impact in our communities, and we are truly grateful for RUBIS Grenada’s support and commitment to youth development.”

RUBIS Accounts Executive, Catoria Emma Jeremiah, said it wasa pleasure for RUBIS to assist in developing the nation’s youth. She said RUBIS was delighted to support the initiative by awarding the first-place winner with a laptop to assist in their educational development.
