Cash Administrator

Rubis Guyana Inc., a company specialising in the marketing of petroleum products, is seeking to fill the vacant position of Cash Administrator.

The responsibilities for the position include:

  • Receives purchase orders along with payment or proof of payment from customers and verifies that payment amount is correct 
  • Checks credit availability
  • Applies payments to invoices in the system and issues the corresponding receipts
  • Receives returned cheques and notifies finance and credit departments 
  • Completes summary sheets and prepares bank deposits during the day, as required
  • Completes end-of-day procedures, including preparation of the daily payment collections summary report
  • Manages petty cash funds and completes petty cash reconciliations
  • Associate Degree in Accounting or a related discipline
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar environment
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Computer literacy and numeracy
  • A collaborative approach and strong team-oriented focus 
  • Willingness to work outside of regular working hours
