The race to be crowned champions of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic School athletic sports meet was a keen affair in 2025, as the young athletes from Yellow House (Goretti), Green (Philip), and Red (Therese Dominic) competed for a share of ECD $1,600 in trophies and prizes donated by Team RUBIS.
The action took place on January 24th at the Roy St. John playing field, Tanteen, St. George, where the school of approximately 245 students, supported by 17 academic staff and six additional staff members, is located. The young athletes were cheered on by fellow students, teachers, and visitors.
Sales & Marketing Coordinator Catoria Emma Jeremiah said Team RUBIS was proud to support the young athletes of Blessed Sacrament Catholic with a donation to purchase medals and trophies for the Sports Meet.
“It is a pleasure to contribute to an event that encourages teamwork, discipline, and a love for sports among children. At RUBIS, we believe in investing in the future, and there is no better way to do so than by empowering the next generation through healthy competition and achievement. We look forward to seeing these young talents shine and celebrating their hard work and dedication.”
Principal Henva Simeon said the support of Team RUBIS was integral to the event’s success. “On behalf of the entire Blessed Sacrament Catholic School family, I extend our heartfelt gratitude to RUBIS Caribbean for your generous financial sponsorship that contributed significantly to the success of our recent sports meet. Your support helped us provide our students with some of the necessary prizes to create a vibrant, well-organized, and memorable event. This donation played a vital role in covering medals and trophies, ensuring that our students had the opportunity to showcase their talents and be rewarded in a tangible way in a well-supported environment,” she commented.
