Team RUBIS emphasises value for the visually impaired

Team RUBIS supported visually impaired community in Guyana last December with a timely donation to the Guyana Association of the Visually Impaired in support of the mission to encourage societal value of all citizens.

To bring joy to the 2024 holiday season, RUBIS presented the Association with 30 hampers valued at USD 2500, marking the second year the Company has supported the Association in this way.

Association head Mr. Leon Amsterdam described the donation as “timely and invaluable” and sincerely thanked RUBIS for the “splendid hampers” that more than enriched the holiday period.

Joylyn Johnson, Rubis Retail Accounts Executive says that the gesture is another philanthropic act adding to the Company’s growing list of contributions to vulnerable groups in Guyana. The hampers included many basic items such as rice, flour, sugar, oil and salt, augmented with lots of holiday goodies.

“RUBIS is pleased to play its part in advancing the mission of the Guyana Association of the Visually Impaired by assisting with providing basic needs for the visually impaired, particularly during the Christmas period, sending a message that we can all contribute to creating a united and caring society.”
