Eden Lodge Trust Gets Donation from Rubis

The Eden Lodge Charitable Trust’s mission to ensure that vulnerable young people have equitable access to educational opportunities received a timely boost from RUBIS recently, through a sponsorship contribution of $2,500 in support of the Trust’s back-to-school programme.

Amina Green, Retail Accounts Executive, RUBIS, said the Company was committed to supporting educational development and equitable access for less-fortunate students who would otherwise be disadvantaged.

“This donation is a demonstration of our commitment to supporting the efforts of communities to provide their most vulnerable members with the tools to ensure that they can access and benefit from educational opportunities. It is in keeping with this principle that we are pleased to partner with the Eden Lodge Charitable Trust, to ensure the viability of their back-to-school programme,” Green said.

Commenting as she expressed her appreciation to RUBIS, Billie-June Langdon, PRO of the Eden Lodge Charitable Trust said:

“This year the Eden Lodge Youth Charitable Trust’s Back to School Programme assisted over 400 students with much needed school supplies, including uniforms and stationery, as well as petty fees and even haircuts. As expected, textbooks were among the top items on the list of supplies as these tend to be costly, and a challenge for many parents to purchase. At the Trust, we are very aware of how important these books are for students, and this is why they are a priority in our Back-to-School Programme. We are extremely pleased that RUBIS also shares this sentiment and got on board with us at this juncture.  This donation could not have come at a better time. Even though the school year has already started, we are still fulfilling some aspects of our donations. This assistance from RUBIS will go a long way in helping us to achieve our goal of providing the necessary tools for less fortunate children to take full advantage of the benefits afforded to them through our educational system.”
