RUBIS Barbados continues support of the Chefette Fun Run

As the Chefette Fun Run Charity celebrates its 10th Anniversary, TeamRUBIS was pleased to make a donation to this worthy cause. The actual fun run event was postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions but the charity continues to support the Auntie Olga Children’s Fund, which has provided assistance to generations of Barbadian families. This year, the funds will be disbursed to three charitable organisations: Variety The Children’s Charity, which disburses funds to individual recipients of the Needy Children’s Fund; the YWCA’s Breakfast Feeding Programme and the Precious Touch Foundation which supports children who are affected by life-threatening illnesses.

In making the presentation of $2000, Raydeen Hunte, Network Brand Coordinator, RUBIS noted that the company became involved with the Chefette Fun Run as a Silver Sponsor in 2018 as the initiative provided the opportunity for Rubis to support worthy community causes and also provided an outlet for Barbadians to participate in healthy activities. She said, “The past two years have provided significant challenges for charities as it relates to funding and RUBIS is pleased to assist in this worthwhile initiative.”

Lisa Carter, Advertising Manager, Chefette Limited thanked RUBIS for supporting the Chefette Fun Run Charity over the years, commenting, “Your contributions assisted us significantly in reaching our targets and allowed us to continue to work with the very deserving charities that depend on our help. Many persons benefit from these excellent programmes and we are truly grateful for your assistance in supporting them. “
