RUBIS continues to fuel the fight against diabetes and hypertension in Barbados through its ongoing support for the Diabetes and Hypertension Association’s Mobile Unit, which has received a renewal of fuel sponsorship totalling $1500 in RUBIS Ultra Tec fuel gift cards.
The presentation was made to Betty Alleyne, Second Vice President of the Association by Amina Green, RUBIS’ Retail Accounts Executive. Sonia Leuwaisee, Activities Coordinator of the Association, thanked RUBIS for the donation, explaining that the Mobile Unit is a tremendous asset to the Association in executing its screening and education programme throughout Barbados.
Mrs. Leuwaisee added that the Diabetes and Hypertension Association of Barbados “is determined to fulfil its mission to improve the quality of life for persons living with diabetes and those at risk of developing diabetes, by providing up-to-date education, and fostering good self-management and control of their condition”.
