RUBIS supports impactful Diabetes and Hypertension Association breakfast panel discussion

RUBIS continued its support for the Diabetes and Hypertension Association of Barbados on World Diabetes Day, November 14th, sponsoring an impactful breakfast panel discussion entitled “Know Your Numbers” at the Radisson Aquatica Resort.

The panel discussion featured insightful contributions from several leading medical experts in Barbados, including Chief Medical Officer, The Most Honourable Dr. Kenneth George; Senior Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Walter Alleyne; Podiatrist and diabetic foot care specialist Dr. Simone McConnie; Clinical Director at the Barbados Diabetes Foundation Dr. Diane Brathwaite; and acting Deputy Nutrition Officer, Brian Payne.

Ahead of the event, RUBIS Accounts Executive Amina Green presented BBD. 3000 sponsorship to Tyrone Lowe, President of the Diabetes and Hypertension Association of Barbados. Green said RUBIS was honoured to continue supporting the cause.

The Know Your Numbers panel discussion was a highlight among activities ongoing for Diabetes Month as the Diabetes and Hypertension Association of Barbados continues its advocacy for individuals living with diabetes and hypertension in Barbados.
