RUBIS Eastern Caribbean Safety Committee Charts the Course for 2025

The new RUBIS Eastern Caribbean Safety Committee is set and ready to serve with a mandate to create and maintain a safe and healthy working environment, by encouraging all employees to behave in ways that achieve the overall objective of safety. The 2025 Committee comprises 33 members from across the RUBIS EC territories from various job roles including RTW drivers, LPG operators, Aviation Crewmen, HSE Officers and Operations personnel. This inclusive approach strengthens a collective understanding and encourages meaningful collaboration across territories. It also promotes creative thinking and enables innovative solutions to safety challenges.

The Committee recently convened in Miami on February 7, 2025 to outline their plans for the coming year. Leading the team are Chairperson Donley Best and Deputy Chairperson Shanelle Clarke-Nichols. Key focus areas during the meeting included plans for conducting daily toolbox talks, implementing loss prevention exercises and organising quarterly HSE activities, including the highly anticipated RUBIS Safety Week. With a clear mandate and a shared commitment to workplace safety, the committee left the meeting energised and ready to drive meaningful actions throughout the year.
