Rubis offered some much-needed support to the St Vincent Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment with a recent donation of personal protective equipment (PPE). The donation included 2000 KN95 masks, 2000 surgical masks and 2000 surgical gloves.
Elroy Edwards, Country Representative, Rubis made the donation at the Ministry’s recently to the Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Luke Browne and Cuthbert Knights, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health.
Mr Edwards commented, “We are aware that these are challenging times for everyone, especially our health ministry so when the opportunity presented itself to strengthen the hands of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment we didn’t hesitate to lend our support through this kind of donation.” Minister Browne expressed the gratitude of the Ministry. He said the pandemic has been sweeping the world and one of the things the Ministry likes to emphasize is that when you have all hands on deck, “you will be able to better address the challenges associated with the pandemic. It is in that context I would like to express our sincere appreciation for what Rubis has done.”
Rubis has also enhanced their already stringent internal safety standards at their fuel and aviation terminals. At the service stations, face masks have been provided for all service attendants to wear to mitigate the spread of the virus and COVID-19 signage has been installed at the fuel pumps to remind customers on safe practices.
