RUBIS is making sure the young charges of the Student Assistance Training School Inc. (SATS) begin the new school term right.
The energy company recently donated 18 school bags to the organization. In making the presentation Charles Archer, RUBIS Country Representative said, “TeamRUBIS is always pleased to be of support to community organizations like SATS, thereby enabling them to address the educational needs of Grenada’s school children.“ He added, “We know that during this challenging Covid-19 period, some children attending their lessons whether virtually or in person can be stressed by many unusual conditions, we are therefore happy to be able to bring comfort to the lives of some students and indirectly their households.”
In thanking RUBIS for their support, Deacon Alex Cumberbatch, Executive Director and Founder, SATS explained the organization was indeed grateful and blessed to be a partner of RUBIS. He explained “We have been working in the community for 17 years focusing on children, young people and the elderly and are thankful for the support given to us by RUBIS.” He added, “We look forward for your continued support in our nation building efforts.”
Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, RUBIS has supported various educational endeavours, including a donation to the Student Assistance Program of the Grenada Community Development Agency to purchase textbooks and assist needy students with exam fees and a donation of 25 Lembook Digital Textbooks to the Ministry of Education to facilitate their national school e-learning online programmes.
