RUBIS Guyana appoints new Director

The Board and Management of Rubis Guyana Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Denise Pearson as Director.

Mrs. Pearson, a Georgetown native, has been a dedicated and highly respected senior member of the Rubis team in Guyana for over 20 years, with an impressive financial management background that has positioned her well for this role. She began working with the company in 1999 under the former Texaco and Chevron brands and has served in the accounting and finance capacities throughout her tenure. Her many years of experience at Rubis is complemented by nine years at the former Guyana Agricultural & Industrial Development Bank (Gaibank) and 10 years in the aviation sector – four years with the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority – Skyvan Operations and six years with the former Guyana Airways Corporation (GAC).

A member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Mrs. Pearson also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Guyana. She has a wealth of knowledge with an extensive background in financial management and reporting, banking and treasury, as well as audit and internal control, all valuable assets to this new role. As the face of the local Rubis Guyana operations, Mrs. Pearson will be engaging with Government and commercial partners, at a critical time when the oil and gas sector has become so pivotal to Guyana’s economy.

“I am elated to join the Board of Directors at Rubis Guyana Inc. especially at this exciting time in Guyana’s growth in the fuel sector,” said Mrs. Pearson. “My focus is to support the needs of the Rubis business in Guyana and serve well.”

The Board and Management of Rubis Caribbean congratulate Mrs. Pearson on her new role. Rubis looks forward to forging stronger partnerships as a leader in the local refined petroleum products industry.
