RUBIS contributed a Bronze sponsorship to help anchor the success of the 2026 Inter-Secondary Schools’ Athletic Championships, popularly known as Intercol, Grenada’s most prestigious school-based track-and-field competition.
Held from March 17 to 19 at the Grenada National Athletic Stadium, the annual championships brought together secondary schools from across the island for three days of thrilling competition. The stadium was abuzz with excitement as athletes competed passionately in their respective events while students, alumni, and supporters created an electrifying atmosphere in the stands.
At the conclusion of the highly competitive meet, St. Andrew’s Secondary School (SAASS) delivered an outstanding performance, capturing both the Boys’ and Girls’ championship titles.
The Grenada Secondary Schools Games Association (GSSGA), which organises the event, thanked RUBIS for its support and emphasised the importance of corporate partnerships in sustaining the Games.
Kim Paris-Thomas of Anglican High School summed up the importance of corporate backing, noting that Intercol provides a valuable platform for students to interact in an atmosphere of good sportsmanship and healthy rivalry.
RUBIS Accounts Executives Areen Lewis and Catoria Jeremiah expressed the company’s enthusiasm for supporting the development of the island’s talented students.
“RUBIS is proud to support the development of Grenada’s talented students. Participation in sports cultivates discipline, responsibility, focus, and strong interpersonal skills, qualities that will serve these young athletes well both on and off the field,” Lewis noted.
Speaking on behalf of the Grenada Secondary Schools Games Association, Nicole Moultrie expressed gratitude for the sponsorship.
