As the need to raise awareness in the fight against the leading cancer in Barbados becomes ever more critical, Team RUBIS is proud to support the Barbados Cancer Society‘s CEMIX Prostate Cancer Health Fair, Run & Walk 2025.
Prof. R. David Rosin, President of The Barbados Cancer Society, graciously accepted a sponsorship of BBD 2,500 presented by Mellissa Broomes, Brand Marketing Specialist at RUBIS.
“We are proud to support the Barbados Cancer Society’s CEMIX Prostate Cancer Health Fair, Run & Walk 2025, an initiative that raises critical funds and drives awareness around men’s health. At RUBIS, we are committed to making a positive impact on the well-being of our communities, and supporting this cause aligns with our values,” Broomes stated.
This third edition of the annual event will take place on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. It will begin at the historic Garrison Savannah and follow a route through the surrounding area before returning to the Main Guard. This year, participants and spectators are encouraged to arrive from 2:00 p.m. for the Health Fair component, which will offer testing and showcase healthy lifestyle products and services.
The Run & Walk brings together individuals, families, corporate teams, and healthcare advocates in a show of solidarity and support for men affected by prostate cancer. Funds raised from the event go towards education, early detection initiatives, and patient support services provided by the Barbados Cancer Society.
