Team RUBIS donation to Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre reflects a shared vision

A shared vision for health, education, and youth development came into focus last December when Team RUBIS joined Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre to support programs for children and differently-abled youth.

The Centre, which provides year-round care to vulnerable youth in Guyana, graciously accepted a gift of fifty self-care hampers containing soaps, spa back scrubbers, pumice stones, and body lotions valued at USD 1400. The donation will benefit approximately 50 young people receiving rehabilitation therapy, special education, audiological services, and orthotic and prosthetic care.

Sharing an appreciation on behalf of the Centre, Financial Assistant Bibi Samlall thanked RUBIS for contributing to the agency’s continuing growth and development. She underscored “the significant role the donation will play in the delivery of their programs.”

Retail Accounts Executive of Rubis Guyana Inc. Joylyn Johnson said Rubis was pleased to partner with Ptolemy Reid Rehabilitation Centre.

“As a company, our sustainability focus hinges on three pillars: health, education and youth, and Ptolemy Reid Rehab Centre is unique in that its core functions touch all three pillars.”
