In keeping with our commitment to community building, Team RUBIS is pleased to have played its part in ensuring the success of the recently concluded Soufriere Jazz 2024 – The Ultimate Experience.
Ahead of the keenly anticipated music festival on May 5th, RUBIS presented sponsorship of EC$6,000 to the event’s organiser, the Soufriere Regional Development Foundation (SRDF). Tamika Celestin, RUBIS Assistant Account Executive, said: “We are always pleased to be on board with initiatives like Soufriere Jazz, where we can contribute to bringing communities together and seeing people enjoy themselves safely. Next year, we hope to be back on board with SRDF full throttle to make the experience bigger and better for everybody.”
Featuring a star-studded lineup of international artists, including Tarrus Riley, Nailah Blackman, and Skinny Fabulous, Soufriere Jazz – The Ultimate Experience was a highlight of the fortnight-long Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival, which ran from April 30th to May 12th.
Celestin noted that in addition to its positive community impact, the event boosted tourism, attracting visitors from both domestic and international markets while providing a platform for local and regional artists, artisans, vendors and entrepreneurs. “It was such a heartwarming experience to see all the people brought together by the love of music and community at Soufriere Jazz, as hundreds of people turned out to enjoy the pulsating rhythms under the Pitons, our world heritage site.”
In an appreciation statement posted online, the SRDF and Soufriere Events Management Organization expressed their sincerest gratitude to everyone who contributed to the phenomenal success of Soufriere Jazz 2024 – The Ultimate Experience, referring to the festival as a “remarkable celebration of music, culture, and community spirit.”
