Donation to the Grenada Diabetes Association

The Grenada Diabetes Association recently benefited from a contribution that will assist in the availability of resources to advance the work of the association. Rubis West Indies Limited provided the monetary support that was received in a handover to the President, Dr. Alister Antoine. In accepting the donation, Dr. Antoine said that it will be used to pay for printing brochures/pamphlets to distribute at their Resource Center and when they go out to do educational sessions at health fairs, schools and other institutions. In addition to the contribution, RUBIS also invited the Association to be present at a recent promotional event held at the Botanical Gardens Service Station.

Customers were exposed to the opportunity to get blood pressure; BMI and blood sugar tests done. In addition, Dr. Antoine was able to capitalize on being able to broadcast live on radio the benefits of the services they provide. Charles Archer, the RUBIS Country Representative, said how pleased he was for RUBIS to provide this opportunity for the public to receive this important
health service to keep their fitness and well-being in check.
